Principal's Message

September 2018

Hello,

Welcome to West Highlands Elementary, "Home of the Lions". At West Highlands, we take pride in being respectful, responsible and safe. Students will have the opportunity to be recognized for being respectful, responsible and safe by receiving pride paws from staff for following expectations and through monthly class awards.

This school year brings many new exciting changes to West Highlands, including a new Principal (Mr. Kirk Rioux) and new Vice-Principal (Mrs. Molly Little). Together, we are looking forward to a very positive year at West Highlands! It is our hope that we can build many positive relationships with parents, students and create an environment that is welcoming for all.

This year, our teachers and students will be hard at work to help achieve our student success goals to ensure all students are achieving to their highest ability. Our student success goals this year are :
1. To improve student sucess in literacy
2. To improve student success in mathematics.

At West Highlands, we love to see parent and family involvement in the school. We would welcome volunteers for our breakfast program, reading with students or as chaperones on class outings. If you would like to become involved at West Highlands School, please visit our Administrative Assistant, Ms. Chase, to pick up the necessary volunteer package.

Looking forward to a wonderful year together!

Sincerely,
Mr. Rioux and Mrs. Little
